Elizabeth Floyd

En septiembre de 2007, empecé a bloguear para contrastar el progreso de mis habilidades de pintura (mi primera pintura vez en aceites fue en 2006), vender algunas pinturas pequeñas en eBay, y para conseguir el objetivo que me había propuesto en ese momento: dedicarme por completo a la pintura. Durante los siguientes dos años y medio mantuve esta práctica, hasta que he logrado el objetivo de salir de la arquitectura en 2009.

En ese momento, dediqué toda mi atención al arte y me esforcé por conseguir toda la formación que pudiese conseguir y el máximo desarrollo de mis habilidades artísticasr. Durante este tiempo, estudié con muchos instructores diferentes {Danni Dawson, Robert Liberace, y Susan Abbott para nombrar unos pocos}, exploré los tres géneros principales de arte: bodegón, paisaje y figurativa, y trabajé para dominar la técnica de la pintura y del dibujo. Creo que es fundamental contar con un fuerte dominio sobre la mecánica del dibujo y la pintura con el fin de maximizar la capacidad de expresar el sentido de la belleza que encuentro en el mundo.

En 2011 nació mi hija, Naomi, y posteriormente, descubrí que ser madre ha sido mi mayor catalizador de la creatividad. Su cuidado me ha inspirado para trabajar más duro que nunca.

Como artista, mi meta es explorar y crecer en mi oficio constantemente.
