Jan-Ove Tuv, nacido en 1976
en Kongsberg, es un artista noruego. Estudió en Odd Nerdrum de 1996 a 2002 y
está muy influenciado por esto. Como Nerdrum, se llama a sí mismo "pintor
kitsch", una reacción a Theodor Adorno y el ataque de Clement Greenberg
contra el arte occidental. Otras fuentes de inspiración incluyen Rembrandt,
Lars Hertervig, los primeros Edvard Munch y John Constable.
Junto con Nerdrum y Helene
Knoop, como polemista y conferenciante público, ha estado involucrado en el
movimiento kitsch a nivel internacional.
